Annika Haas is a writer and scholar in media studies, based in Berlin. Her current research is concerned with artistic practices in a broken world beyond repair. She received a PhD from the Berlin University of the Arts with a dissertation about Hélène Cixous’s philosophy and writing through the body. Since 2020 she has been teaching media theory and courses on the relation of technology, capitalism, and (bad) feelings at the Berlin University of the Arts. She works as a postdoc in the DFG-research group "Aesthetic Practice" at the University of Hildesheim. Annika’s backgrounds in media studies (undergraduate, University of Potsdam) and in media art (MFA, Berlin University of the Arts) contribute to her understanding of theory as an aesthetic practice. Experimental publishing, lecture-performances, and to host conversations and writing workshops are part of this practice.
